Electricity from Biogas in Rwanda
Transforming a technology from the lab
into a usable product
TUDelft and TNO
TNO developed a technique that transfers the heat of a biogas flame into electricity. It was my job to develop the technique from the lab into a usable product that farmers in BoP countries can use to charge their mobile phone and to light a lamp. I spend significant time 'on the ground' to ensure the optimal adaptation of the device to user requirements and local settings.
